Meet Jess

Hi, I’m Jess Owen – one half of the heart and soul behind The Owen Project. I’m lucky to share this incredible journey with my wonderful husband, Luke, our little blond dog, Bear, and our beautiful little boy who inspires everything we do.

The Owen Project is my passion, born from my deep desire to support individuals and communities in meaningful ways. After qualifying as a social worker in July 2024, I realised that while I loved helping others, there was far too much paperwork and not enough hands-on action in the role for me to feel fulfilled. That realisation led me here, using my skills to make a directly impact in our local community.

With experience in the charity sector, my goal is to create events and activities that bring people together and truly make a difference. At The Owen Project, it’s all about connection, collaboration, and making things happen – without the endless paperwork!

I’m excited to see our community thrive, not just for the present but for the future – especially for my little boy as he grows up. I hope that through this journey, we’ll meet amazing people, create lasting memories, and build friendships that will last a lifetime.
