How The Owen Project Began

The Owen Project was born from a turning point in our lives. We were both working for a charity we deeply believed in, but unfortunately, the organisation lost the funding needed to pay our wages. Like many, we stepped into the world of “big boy and girl jobs,” but it quickly became clear that this lifestyle didn’t bring us the happiness or fulfilment we once felt.

That’s when the idea for The Owen Project began to take shape. While we couldn’t continue to dedicate our time to our previous roles in the charity sector, we discovered something incredible: living and working together is something we truly thrive at. As a team, we’ve become stronger than ever, and we realised we had the passion and drive to start something new, something that was ours.

We firmly believe that everything happens for a reason. When one door closed, it felt like we opened balcony doors on holiday – with a clearer, brighter view of the future. We’re ready to give 100% to this journey, putting our hearts and souls into every event, project, and connection we make.

That’s why we’ve so confidently named it The Owen Project. This isn’t just a name – it’s a reflection of who we are and what we stand for. We are proud to carry our name forward as we work to build something truly meaningful for our community.
